Belgian première of Michael Gordon’s Material

The American composer Michael Gordon as one of the members of Bang on a Can, is a figurehead for the youngest generation of post-minimalists. He wrote Material specially for the talents of the New York quartet Yarn/Wire, who will be performing its Belgian première at Transit. All the musicians will play the inside of just one grand piano: a sizzling structure of sound, with the audience intimately gathered around the instrument – an intense, unforgettable experience.
